I'll be settling in at some point tonight watching Jurassic Park: Dominion. Picked it up in steel at Walmart the other day.

I've heard some pretty good reviews for this. I've also heard some not so positive reviews.

My question is this:

Do I watch the theatrical version? or do I just cut to the chase and watch the extended version first?
I enjoyed the film, it wasn't amazing but was enjoyable, probably won't watch it again other than for a easy Sunday film or background noise.
I always go with the extended version though, it just feels like I am being robbed of minutes if there is a longer version available lol

I feel like that with all extended version. Although the anchorman extended versions are more like alternative cuts and I actually prefer the theatrical cuts.

So, a comedy, then an action movie, then a drama, and after another one? That's four! No way have I ever been able to sit through more than 2 films at a time, and that's when I was a teenager, sneaking for a second film in a multiplex. And even then I found the experience muddled, one movie overlaying or overshadowing the other. Plus I usually liked to drive around afterwards, listening to its soundtrack, if it had a good one.

Anyway, I try to watch one every day, but half the time it's a TV series episode.
Started one of those Letterboxd accounts, but they don't have TV shows, very disappointing.
Back in the day when I was a teenager, only time I ever did 2 movies back to back was Pretty Woman and Joe Vs The Volcano at the Odeon in the neighbouring city of Coventry

Would never had time nor stamina for a 3rd

Well, if we're talking 'at the cinema' action, I'm pretty sure this old guy has the slam dunk!!! I must have seen the 5 movie Ape-a-thon at least 5 times when I was a kid. What fun that summer was, man. Dad would drop me off at the theater wicked early in the a.m. and pick me up like 9 hours later. I'd go see something else later in the week and sneak in for another viewing. lol.

Boy, do I really have a strong and longstanding love affair that those original apes films. Just cannot help myself.

One day, when finances fall right, I'll start my own steelbook company and do a complete run of those in premium editions.

@Watkinss1 - I would definitely watch the extended cut as I almost always prefer the extended cut to the theatrical release. The only time I preferred the Directors Cut over the extended cut was with the Watchmen as I didn't care for that weird anime/ cartoon in between the live action film.

@jaws finatic - I'd definitely be interested in those premium Plant of the Apes films, yet I recently heard they are working on a 4th or another reboot of the series rn. You could always start a 3rd party company like LRG and work with Scanvo making original steelbooks like they do for their video game selection.

I went right to the extended version and enjoyed it. I heard it added more of the original cast and fleshed out the movie.

Question of the 'night':

Which TV series you're watching right now, and how many concurrently?
The TV season is about to start! :p

Main ones right now are House of the Dragon, She Hulk, Hard Knocks, MasterChef, Blood & Treasure. I’m slowly working on finishing Ms. Marvel and Halo is on the back burner.

Welcome to JinxyKattes question of the day.

You are hosting a dinner party but for a very select group of people. You can only invite upto 10 people. They are all characters played by 1 actor.

So who are you gonna invite.

Obviously everyone can answer, I just knlw those two have expressed an interest in my questions lol.

Could've just said 'all the crappy ones'. :naughty:
Although I might see Blood & Treasure.

For 'breakfast' show I'm just watching Spin City with Michael J. Fox (some great guest stars in the first season, Carla Gugino, Amanda Peet, Jennifer Garner), and also rewatching all of Leverage with Timothy Hutton (love Beth Riesgraf in it), each episode is better than most movies.

And also finishing 2 seasons of Only Murders in the Building, which is surprisingly good, especially with Cara Delevingne in a few episodes.

So it's gotta be a prolific actor, with a lot of roles to garner 10 you'd like out of all of the characters. Don't think anyone will be able to name 10 from the same actor.
But an interesting idea!

Gotta be Pierce Brosnan's Andy Osnard from The Tailor of Panama, one of my all-time top 10 favorite movies and characters.
Then Julian Noble hitman from The Matador.
A CIA hitman Peter Devereaux from The November Man.
Thomas Crown from The Thomas Crown Affair.
And Lawrence Angelo from The Lawnmower Man.
All the others, like Harry Dalton from Dante's Peak, and Professor Donald Kessler from Mars Attacks can just come as well, to fill the quota.

Great list. I did say upto 10 though just incase people couldn't name 10.

Is it lazy if I just have Jason Statham 10 times? Essentially playing variations of Frank Martin from the Transporter haha. I'll think of a better answer later.

I would invite Tim Curry as the 1 actor playing the part of Wadsworth [Clue], Dr Frank-N-Furter [Rocky Horror Picture Show], Pennywise [It], and Long John Silver [Muppets Teasure Island] as my invites stands at 4.

Also to follow up on JinxyKattes excellent question, what would be your signature dish of the dinner party and who would you invite to cook it?

I'd go for Fay Ripley and the Moroccan Lamb Couscous. Just sublime.

FYI: I taught myself to cook this as I heard somewhere that it's good to have 3 great meals you can prepare (my other favourites are a Sunday Roast and a Omelette)

Well let me repay that comment by spoiling Only Murders in the Building.
Made you look! :p

Oh, right, I overlooked that.

I'd also have liked to have a '90's' party with the Party Girl Parker Posey:

Mary from Party Girl.

Margaret from Misadventures of Margaret

Darla from Dazed and Confused

Emily from Flirt

Fay Grim from the 'Henry Fool trilogy'.

Jo Malone from Daytrippers, Erica from Suburbia, Greta from Personal Velocity, and many others, definitely a dozen here.

And I could basically sit and listen to them talk to each other for 3 days nonstop...

Very good and interesting question. Not many actors could fill 10 spots for me but I am going to go with Rosario Dawson for the following films and the roles she plays:
Men in black 2 (poor film but I liked her in it)
Alexander
Sin City
Clerks 2
Death proof
Lightning thief
Trance
Krystal
Zombieland 2
Mandalorian
