Is there ever been a movie that you started watching, but just turned it off for some reason. What was the movie and reason?

Perhaps if it's recent, post within spoiler tags!

I'll post my contentious entry a little later once we have an answer or three

Blair witch 2 book of shadows. Wasn't to keen on the original but after 10 mins of this, I knew it was garbage and had to turn it off

Yeah I read the plot of this and it sounded real dark, but how could such a plot be so boring. You're not the first to say it, and I bet there are many out there that agree.

Maybe one day I'll give it a go (or thank my stars and take the time to watch something else.)

I’ve always finished the movies I start. It’s the only way to fairly criticize a movie.

Well this happened to me last night and it was drum roll....

..

..

Thor: Love and Thunder and it was the first Thor fight too... which I found embarrassing and downright pathetic, supposed to be played up for laughs I guess. Chalking this as a second Marvel movie not finished.

Was the scene when doing the splits between two vehicles. WTF was I watching, such a waste of the Guardians too throughout this set piece.

Also introduction of Gor as serious as they made it, god (pun intended) was it choppy - come on: he stabbed a God straight through the throat, is this how you get a 12 rating, jeez...

How Marvel didn't put their foot down and slap Waititi for such scenes and actually dial them back to sensible exciting action. :woot:

Don't worry folks, I will go back and watch it fully, but if this Thor and his heroic nature now, I really need the next one to inject some sense into the final product.

I saw both Blair Witch and Book of Shadows at the cinema. Yes I should have asked for my money back on the second :naughty:

Apparently this was butchered by the studio and didn't represent what the director had in mind. But perhaps they would say that.

Interesting that you should say this as I am about to put this on in about 30 mins. I already didn't have much hope for it but this some how lowers my expectations further lol

To be fair, the cinema should have known better and had someone on the door handing out refunds and a bag of sweets as an apology to people on the way out

In it's defense it did make me laugh about 1 minute before, just wasn't firing on all or even a few cylinders IMO. I bet if I'm in a more chilled mode and seen it once, it won't bother me as much.

Hope you enjoy it, looking forward to your comments.

I don't know I've ever stopped watching a movie. I even finished the redo of Total Recall, which was so incredibly BOOOORRRRIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG. One of those redo's that makes you question why they wanted to redo the classic. Still, I watched it all the way thru.

The only movie I ever watched that I walked out on because I thought it sucked just too bad to endure, was Krull. I only remember it because I took my nephew to see it when he was 8 years old and I remember having the conversation to bolt in the theater. I think I took him to Chucky Cheese instead or something like that.

So I did manage to watch the whole film. It wasn't as bad as I was expecting but that was more because my expectation was so low.
The rock guy was by far my favourite character but I really enjoyed his appearances in Ragnarok.
Overall it is a poor film that I won't watch again and there were no stand out parts I would say I particularly enjoyed.

i didnt like jealous Thor, i agree, it was a waste of the use of the guardians of the galaxy amd i didnt like his interactions with Jane.
I also dont understand how with the new marvel, any new character that gets new powers is automatically as good as the one that has had the power and experience for years such as this. The same also happened with she-hulk.
i have no issue with female characters but feel disney do not have a clue how to bring them into the spotlight
