It's been like that for months. Gone very laggy. Must be something they've done with the site.

Personally not going to grumble about the finish . . . might have done if the U.S. were getting this same art with a full gloss finish . . . and even with the full gloss finish (reportedly) on their cartoony steelbook I still say the finish is secondary to the artwork and that their artwork can't hold a candle to the Euro/Asia artwork.
Basically, looking at what they are getting = grateful for small mercies.
RE:FINISH - no comparison to GitS is valid here as this steelbook has several prominent metallic ornaments worn by her highness (tiara, breastplate and bracelets) which that steel patently does not.
Here, creative use of the white layer should give those ornaments a very cool shine . . . . something that can only be achieved with this type of finish.
Drowning or caking the whole thing in full gloss you lose the subtlety and is more likely to be seen with the premium retailers where subtlety may not be recognised and appreciated to the same extent.
EDIT: Full gloss on the back art would have been a splendid idea however.

Comment I made earlier about her not measuring up tp Linda Carter was maybe unfair - in fact, her physique is better suited to the role considering the real Amazons had either the left or right breast amputated depending on which side they held the bow.

I can't tell if it's overly processed or painted. If I were shown just the face portion of the pic I doubt I would ever guess it was her
It is badly photoshopped under the eyes on the cheek bones though, always said that and unfortunately my least favourite art for the film
I've said it to a few people away from here but she looks a little manly in that pic which is a shame because she's literally the most stunning woman in the world
