I would take a guess debit cards was not meant to be charged until this coming Monday or Tuesday and a mistake was made taking payment this week what caused this to happen not sure
Having spoken at length with them over the last few days this was no mistake. They charged on purpose, and have seen a huge backlash because of it. The senior manager I spoke to said they had lost over 100 orders "that he knows of" because of the early charge. We live in a world now where many people budget, and they hadn't expected early payments, especially younger collectors where money is tight.
I really wouldn't worry though as this is a HUGE print run and will be in pretty much every HMV in large quantities. If you can't see it then ask as many stores now aren't putting any on display due to theft
With all due respect, the payment method i used clearly stated that payment would be taken at the point of despatch, as would have been the case with other members here so customers are perfectly within their rights to not be happy.
For me, personally, the early payment isn't an issue but thats not the point

Although I’m sad and keep an excel spreadsheet with all my outgoings and upcoming steelbooks first so I had the money set aside.

I do the same, right now up until december, and not only for steelbooks, but for video games and other stuff ^^
anyway, are people mass canceling because of the early payment being processed or because they don't want the steelbook anymore?
I cancelled this about two weeks ago when I saw it's the same as Manta Lab and FAC editions. As I intend on getting one or both of those, I didn't see the point in this one.
Manta Haven't shown their artwork yet... It won't be this, they've said it's WEA
This is the cheapest Steelbook with this artwork available containing both 3D + 2D discs. I believe UK folks would end up paying more for exactly the same artwork released elsewhere.
Sorry, I thought Manta had already said it going to be this design. I guess I was wrong then.
Strangely they did. Then everyone else showed this as WWA. Then Manta said they’re working on a new design to be shown soon.
So you’re half right. Or wrong. Or both.
Exactly why I cancelled
Had this been full gloss, I would've no doubt kept my order. I really like this artwork but with a drab matte finish, I'd rather save those funds for a WEA steel like HDzeta, etc.
