Agreed. I was really hoping the US would get 2022.i think its funny that they chose a country that has 120+ degree summers to play an outdoor sport in. they said they are gonna air condition the stadiums?
might as well play them indoors. Qatar's electric bill that month could be in the millions, lol
we should have just said, "if you want our television stations to cover the game, you will chose us." id like to see them foot the bill for qatar without ESPN showing the games

They will make new stadiums that will have cooling. Moreover, they will implement pitch cooling, a system that Korea and Japan used in their stadiums which detects the temperature outside and automatically cools of heats the field for optimal playing. They'll probably move the dates to a later time due to their extreme heat.
Russia is beyond me. FIFA had mentioned that England had the best bid for 2018 yet they gave it to Russia? I guess FIFA doesn't want the media catching its members taking bribes. Which is what the British media did. Russia has had problems with racism in their stadiums I just don't see how FIFA could of just looked the other way. Just wait until Joseph Blatter realizes the check he got is in Rublos and not in Euros. What an idiot.
As far as Qatar, they have no infrastructure at all!! Which leads to my next point, they have to build 12 stadiums in time, but what they don't realize is that the game is more than just money. They basically paid to be able to play a world cup because their garbage team would never qualify. This pick makes me even more mad than Russia. They'll be hosting the biggest sporting event on the planet and people from all over the world will be arriving. Their dumb extreme laws are almost enough to alienate 70% of the world. I can't believe FIFA overlooked this for money bunch of dumb money hungry idiots.
The Qatar officials said that the cooling systems will be able to drop the temperature from 120 down to roughly 90.....with an empty stadium. How toasty do you think it's gonna be in there when that cooling system overloads and you have 100,000 fans packed into the stands.
Yeah, that's why they are considering moving the tournament over a month or two so the temperature is lower.
