sincerely hope the laser etching on the ES exclusive isn't going to feature on this edition!!

I think that's pretty unlikely mate, its still kind of poor though if that's going to be the only difference, for the price of ES version we should have unique art so might cancel mine, it hardly seems worth the price now

Well, this is 299 SEK which is about 28.71 GBP (at the moment!) plus there will be additional shipping charges to the UK!
So think the price is also on the higher side...
And it will be released 6 weeks later (December 4th!)

BUT i hope the ES one will be the only World War Z Steelbook with laser etched numbering!!!

Plan on watching this tonight. I'll be applying my policy of - no likey, no buyey.

Not even laser etching will sway me, if the films Barry White.

seems to be a given thing nowadays that exclusives are more than likely going to emerge from different retailers in different countries!
the days of 'will i be able to pick up that elusive steelbook?' seem to be dwindling rapidly. more often than not, it seems to come down to buying from whichever retailer supplies the cheapest version of the widely available versions, or, at least, that's how it's becoming for me, personally.

Worldwide collectors blame UK retailer for not trying hard enough! :wtf:

Surely folks should realise by now that 'exclusive' rarely means 'worldwide exclusive', its just exclusive to a particular retailer in that particular country, and if the world wasnt such a small place thanks to the ease of internet shopping it really wouldnt be an issue

Im still on the fence about the ES one, not because its the same artwork as another countries release but its pricey, and nearer release time Im sure there will be some other retailer exclusives such as slipcovers that may tempt me away from spending close to £30 on the steel like I did recently by cancelling the Zavvi steel of Olympus has fallen in favour of the Sainsburys exclusive lenticular slip which Im happy with.

Well I've watched it and I really enjoyed it, dammit!

This order will be staying intact and my bank balance will be taking another hit. :D

I really had my doubts about this, but it far exceeded my expectations.

With the UK making announcements so early, many commit to the first version announced rather than wait to see how other releases pan out. Gotta be patient when it comes to collecting and not jump on the bandwagon on early announcements. Czech version has the same artwork as ES, Sweden and am sure if there is an Asian release, we will see similar art as this artwork is on most slipcovers worldwide. If numbering is a big thing for one, then ES is the one. Its not for me so jumped on the Czech version as it is the best priced for me to import and not losing any content either.

Yes, UK should not be so unoriginal and they should lower their prices or give us REAL exclusive steelbooks for the prices they are charging! Amazon UK is the only decent steelbook retailer left in the UK... I hope that they'll do more exclusives, their packaging is great, customer service great, shipping is uber great & fast and their prices are low. Skyfall & Star Trek were great :D. To get back on ES; First they act like its their exclusive and how it is a world exclusive and even give HiDefninja an exclusive interview, but now it seems Sweden will have the same artwork. And other retailers will probably follow. Bad job ES, bad job.

The point I was trying to make is that everyone jumps on the back of the most pro-active retailers when it is the laziness of retailers and studios in another territory that have led to the same artwork being released. How can that be a bad job on the pro-active retailers part.

And you have a pop at the UK for being 'so unoriginal' then sing the praises of Amazon UK exclusives such as Skyfall and STID which were global print runs that had no effort put in to differentiate them. Go figure! :p

I'm sure I've read somewhere that the Czech site that posted the white WWZ artwork weren't the most reliable at using the correct artwork. Not sure if that's the case again here but just a word of warning bud. ;)

Quite aware of this as it was the other art when I joined the GB. Not too bothered about which one I get. Content was right and price for the Czech version via GB is $15-$20 cheaper all costs included.

That's just the way it is with Steelbooks these days, very rarely does exclusive art mean Worldwide exclusive, it just means for that country. ES version will still be unique due to the Numbering, I can't see that happening with any other edition.
