They will release a steelbook for every wrestlers. :D
Is wrestling even popular these days?

Yes more than ever can't wait for Wrestlemania :)

Somehow I don't think more than ever but you would know more than me on the matter.

I remember it being huge and it seemed when I was a child and then in my teens/late teens it was still quite big but I thought wresting died when the world wildlife fund took the title (back) lol

I also remember loads of games for PlayStation (1) & 2 etc back in the day and thought they didn't really make them anymore and moved on to UFC and things like that.

Anyway it's a BIG no for me with these titles

I remember now.Wrestling fans are crazy :wacky:
With the UFC and lack of superstars, it can't be more than ever.

Have fun :cigar:

It is actually more than ever, I am a fan of both the UFC and WWE and they are completely different and both have big fan bases. The WWE hosts huge audiences every few days in massive arenas all across the US it's got an enormous following actually. There is many WWE games still being released and many DVDs and ridiculous amounts of merchandise, pretty awesome as a long standing fan like myself. But each to their own

I'll be there. Flying out tomorrow

Wow, You are so lucky, are you going to Axxess? I can't wait for the Hall of Fame ceremony

I am also looking forward to NXT takeover Dallas. NXT for me has been a real winner excellent work by HHH and William Regal.

Lol I know WWE/ WWF and UFC are different lol (ones real and ones fake hahaha) I meant UFC seem to be the new fad away from wrestling.
I remember all the Royal rumbles and stuff like that plus I had a mate who was mad on it all and I used to play the games on the first PlayStation with him but they did my head in. He knew all the moves and the games lasted about 20 mins and my hands and fingers were f*cked by the end of it. Like track and field lol

I knew it still had a big following in the US (the crazy fans that take it a little too far when really they are are watching a pantomime lol)

I just couldn't stand the fakeness (clocked that at a young age) and all the terrible acting, fake beefs and over doing the shouting giving themselves a hernia in the back rooms.
Did used to like the Rock though

I'm just winding you up, I know each to their own (I was surprised when you told me though)

I know you are ;) lol but just giving my opinion of it, there is also big UK following also.

It's scripted to an extent but there has been some very serious injuries and putting your body on the line in any form every few days of the year is a hell of a lot to ask anyone and I give enormous credit for the effort the training and dedication these athletes do.

Yeah I remember when I was a kid that guy fell from the ceiling and died. Was it Brett someone? Why does nugget pop in my head! Was it a knickname or something? I'm not sure and I'm tired lol

WWF from 1996 to 2002 was awesome, everything passed that was kid friendly and boring imo (apart from DX in 2006 they were always entertaining)

In your opinion, I totally disagree as do many many people ;)

This thread is for the steelbook can we get back to discussing it please?

The attitude era was the best it ever was during those years.

Not a fan of these wrestling steelbooks or wrestling in general these days but nice to see some steelbooks being rolled out, my ocd tells me they need to release every other type of similar title in steelbook form too though for it to be worthwhile collecting

Not going to Axxess unfortunately. I'm sure there will be plenty going on. Went to New Orleans for WM30 and it was crazy

Don't watch wrestling anymore, but still enjoy the documentaries based on the wrestlers I used to like i.e stone colds, ultimate warriors and jake the snake's. Not interested in wrestlemania or eric bischoff but maybe tempted by this if it's region free, hmmm :cigar:

I thought wrestling died with Andre the Giant. I watched it for a year or two when I was 10 and 11. It just a male version of a soap opera, didn't soap operas die too?

I am puzzled/amused why so many people feel the need to come in and say wrestling is rubbish etc etc

This is just about a steelbook not the virtues of WWE.

It's like someone who hates superhero films posting in every Marvel thread that they don't like them and being largely critical when of course there are people who do like it so a little less rudeness would be appreciated.

Can we please talk about the steelbook?

I would really like these as being a huge WWE I do particularly enjoy these type of documentaries but they are a little expensive.
