I'm happy as long as they don't forget to release the other two films aswell. I much prefer separate Steelbooks.

Same here.

The only trilogy steelbooks I have are the Godfather and Spider-Man, neither of which advertise themselves as such. I like to think of them as the original movie, with bonus discs featuring the others.

A missed opportunity to do another awesome collection like the Alien Anthology form Fox's 2012 wave.

...and with all the popular other movies Fox have crying for SB treatment, i wouldn't hold my breath for X2 or X3 steels in future waves either.

Disappointing :movie:

It would be nice to have the three films together, I could use the Last Stand disc as a coffee coaster.

I agree, I was hoping for more trilogies/collection type steelbooks such as the play one's thatare the standard steelbook thickness.
eg. godfather,meninblack,alien,bourne
german releases - spiderman,matrix trilogies

I am finding as my collection grows the extra shelf space is invaluable and I am dying for one's such as:-
Xmen quad, batman anthology, spaghetti western trilogy{clint}, austen powers, lethal weapon, hannibal, back to the future[slimmer steelbook is better than tin full of tat],same goes for jurassic park tin, Kill Bill 1 & 2 [UK release like the germans got] Indianna Jones etc. etc.

Please the powers that be grant some of these and NOT a load of seperate steelbooks

I think a lot of people actually prefer individual releases so they can pick up the ones they like. Just a quick look at the Star wars thread shows how many people would actually prefer seperate releases rather than a trilogy. I'm also guessing the studios do too because it will bring in more revenue releasing 3 Steelbooks rather than just the 1!:)

Yeah space saving is the number one reason why i like collections. Plus its just really cool having all related movies in a series collected in a nice single G2 case :) :scat:

additionally, some movies frankly don't deserve the effort of SB treatment as individual releases.... look at play's wolverine for example: fantastic art, low price, includes dvd even - but was an awfully slow seller. Why? cause the film on its own sucked ass lol

- but as part of a multi disc x-men collection, its perfect.

Better for studios to save their time & money on individual releases of movies that will sell, and not sit in a warehouse unsold for years on end imo :movie:

I for one prefer collections, as I'm also running out of space (11 Ikea cabinets are not enough), but you mention Star Wars. I think like most people (including myself), want single Steelbooks for all the films for the great artwork that could be done from each film, rather than a mash of scenes from three films crammed on the front cover. Plus we all want all the extra material for these films and without going to a jumbo, you can't get more than 4 discs in a regular Steelbook. So for just Star Wars, I would like 6 individual Steelbooks, with 3 or 4 discs in each containing the various versions and the extra material. Plus when Disney start releasing the new films, they will be singles and would look nice next to the original 6.

Very interessing title, i hope they will release other titles in the future. And similar artwork to the last X-Men release.
