Mondo x Vacvvm - a24 Series

Those crazy cats over at Mondo have done it again, this time putting out a gorgeous, limited edition screenprint collection combining the stylish films of A24 with the prestigious collective of world-class illustrators and fine artists from across the globe known as THE VACVVM. The collection features eight new screenprints in total, focusing on THE VACVVM artists' favorite films from A24's cross-genre collection. Folk horror, existential science-fiction thrillers, religious dramas, and stories about inheriting familial traumas will all be explored through the stunning artwork of some of the most gifted talents working today. All prints will be available on MondoShop.com with a staggered release throughout March, beginning with Mike Sutfin's interpretation of Jeremy Saulnier's "Nazi Punks, F*** Off!" horror thriller, "Green Room," and Joao Ruas' otherworldly take on "Under the Skin" on March 10, 2022.

"Every A24 film is incredibly unique, but the logo at the beginning of each film is a mark of quality, excitement and uniqueness that no other studio is currently providing," says Eric Garza, Mondo Senior Creative Director. "Working with THE VACVVM to identify some of their favorite films from the studio, and bringing them to further life, has been such an incredible journey."

Over the next four weeks, the following posters will be released as part of this exclusive, limited edition collection, all available at Mondo's shop:

Back in September 2019 we had an idea: to see how some of the world’s finest artists and printmakers viewed the films of one of the most exciting studios. Over two years and a wildly different world later, we are proud to finally share this gorgeous collection of work - all brought to stunning life by THE VACVVM - with you.

Over the next four weeks, we will have all new silkscreen poster releases from THE VACVVM celebrating a few of our favorite films from A24. We are proud to get things started with Jeremy Saulnier’s GREEN ROOM by artist Mike Sutfin, and Jonathan Glazer’s UNDER THE SKIN by artist João Ruas.

As first debuted by our friends at Nerdist earlier this week, tomorrow we will have two all-new posters for a pair of modern horror masterpieces: Ari Aster’s brilliant and terrifying HEREDITARY, as well as Yorgos Lanthimos’ pitch-black THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER.

Both of these posters are part of our series with THE VACVVM celebrating a few of our favorite A24 films. HEREDITARY features artwork by Richey Beckett, making his debut into THE VACVVM family. Meanwhile, Vanessa Foley fully crushed it with her jawbreaking poster for THE KILLING OF A SACRED DEER.

Additionally, we also have a pair of posters for what remains one of the best science fiction films to release in the last ten years: Alex Garland’s absolutely brilliant EX MACHINA, featuring stunning new artwork by Ken Taylor.

This month has been a doozy. Unless you've been hiding away from it all (and we wouldn't blame you), you've maybe seen our month-long celebration of our favorite A24 films with our friends over in THE VACVVM. This series has been in the works for so long and it has been our privilege to finally share the incredible artwork with all of you. But we're not quite finished yet.

Tomorrow we have the final two posters in the collection for two of our very favorite films: two modern horror masterpieces by director Robert Eggers. First up is Nicolas Delort take on the Eggers’ hypnotic descent into madness: THE LIGHTHOUSE.

And finally, we have a pair of gorgeous posters by Jessica Seamans for Eggers’ landmark debut and New England horror folktale: THE VVITCH.
