The UK Marvel/Paramount/Disney 2D releases have never had slips so no surprise there to be honest. Like you say a very disappointing Age of Ultron 3D slip. At least Avengers 3D, Iron Man 3 3D, Thor Dark World 3D & Captain America Winter Soldier 3D were all nice slips with embossing etc.
Agreed And you know they never went back and did re-releases with slips for phase 1, something that would generate more money, the u.k releases have to much writing and banners etc. look at the us slips for cap, thor, iron man, god even compare iron man 3 u.k and the u.s version, it's just much better no borders no writing, less use of the logos and a beautiful emboss, I don't know who makes these decisions over here but imho when it comes to slips the u.k distributers could learn from the u.s., presentation is everything, and it will result in more revenue here in the u.k., we all like shiney new things it temps us into buying these items just because the slip art looks awesome, and given these movies are based off of comics which are artwork its ironic that's what's missing from the slip covers, covers which in itself acts as there own advertisement for the movie and the format.
Got this bad ass movie today
I've been looking for this online for the past couple of days. This doesn't seem to be available in stores in Canada, and I don't mind importing it, but I have to be sure it will come with a slipcover. Anybody got any ideas?
Just wanted to let you know that I ordered one from Amazom.com about a week after release since I couldn't find it locally. It came without the slipcover.
Thanks for the heads up. I ended up ordering from the amazon marketplace. A seller guaranteed he had a mint open copy with slipcover
Guys just received star wars rebels fae amazon no slip cover, thx the studio distributers in the u.k who have once again put in a lazy effort (this is becoming a habit) no slip cover yet the u.s. gets a great looking slip god even Germany gets one, so due to there lazy efforts I feel its no longer worth my money and sent it back, this is the same reason I refused to buy avengers 2, the quality of the product in this country compared to the u.s. is terrible and we pay more for it sorry but from now on no more Disney products in the u.k. for me.
