This won't be embossed/debossed. It's a Sony release. And Sony isn't a company that uses embossing etc on steelbooks...

I'm definitely diggin' this artwork. IMO it looks better than the German edition. I was looking to purchase a German Zombieland but now I'll just hold off and get this one instead. Now just have to wait for a GB to open for this.

I had three of the german one`s i sold them all us the price went sky high i suppose we need to see actual pics to make a true opinion but so far i am liking the uk ediiton better
Oooooo, never thought of that! maybe it will devalue the German one lol. Besides me, there seems to be alot of people who think this is just so much better looking. It doesn't have that black cardboard with that ugly FSK logo covering most of the bottom. If I had the German version, I'd definitely feel threatened. Never had any desire to get the German version, but this one, I'm gonna have to stock the shelves with.

Yeah you're right. I think for that reason owners of the German steelbook have nothing to worry about.

Well it's not a Fox release, so we don't need to worry about that. I'm hoping for a super glossy finish, something like UK releases of Salt, Priest or Resident Evil Afterlife. I think the mini-wave being released on November 5th will give us a good indication of how these will turn out though.
But the UK one will almost certainly ship with a card wraparound too, to hold the ratings logos and other printed stuff.
The only way to compare them fairly will be to see both unwrapped and de-stickered. Though for my money the German one aces it. Down to personal preference I guess.

Seriously and I'm willingly going off-topic here: When did a rerelease EVER permanently decrease the price of an original first release steelbook? I can't think of any to be honest (Iron Man, Star Trek, Inglourious Basterds x4, Inception,...I am Legend FS maybe, but the jury is still out on the long-term impact) and still this seems to be what 50% of this thread consists of. Why is this such a big deal? Zombieland 1st Edition DE will always be the first edition and it will always be a cool (and most likely pretty valuable) steelbook. If people replace there German one with the play.com one and make some money in the process - good for them, I'm sure there is going to be an equally large number of people who will be happy to take it off their hands!
I'm actually still waiting for that widely forecasted price-drop on Iron Man (FS)... I don't see it coming any time soon, same goes for Zombieland and Watchmen by the way...
