I didn't think the Steelbook would look so good. Definitely will have to order ASAP! I wanted the German version, but I can DEFINITELY settle for this.
The only thing that would make this better is embossing/debossing (fingers crossed).

It isn't the same though. It is way inferior IMO.

I have started unloading on ebay and amzon. I expect to unload about 1/10th of my collection over the next couple months.

I am also actively trading again on this forum with alot of added titles weekly.

These releases are great for those new to the Steelbook game and they help the community grow.

Zombieland is one of the best zombie movies of all-time and this SB is a must have for a zombie fan like you... and me!

This will be a blind buy for me, don't stone me but no I haven't seen this yet. In fact I never heard of this movie until I came here. So I guess I'll get to finally see it in December.

German one is miles ahead in quality as far as this one. The gray doesn't go at all with this.....

Folks-a reminder-this is not a trading thread. People will have varied opinions on all Steelbooks, especially when there is already a release existing. Please keep it friendly and do not post any solicititations to trade. Thanks for keeping the HDN community upbeat and fun.

I don't think Chip was trying to make an actual trade, I think he was making a point, and a valid one, regarding speculation on the value between the two.

The DE version is nicer, and I agree the gray is not as nice. That being said this is a really nice steel and it has not stopped me or Chip from pre-ordering copies.

regardless demand just went down on the German as plenty are willing to settle for this ... so the value has gone down .... but that doesn't mean the German one won't bounce back after 6 months or so. That has happened before with other releases.

I think its a great addition to the Zombieland family.

In some sense it does decrease the value of the steels when they re-release, but other than the fact that this is being released at a different time is it really any different than when a new movie is released in 3 versions (Snow White, Hunger Games, Harry Potter, etc...)

I agree its a nice addition and I'm glad that play is at least being smart enough with these re-releases to make different art.

This was my favorite movie from 2009 bar none. Honestly you have no idea what you are missing

I saw part of this movie before, when they get to the Indian gift shop. The story there was pretty pointless and I stopped watching. I was on the fence about buying this with the preliminary artwork (back of German steel, 4 characters standing around with guns (what else is new, Hollywood)). Now I'm all aboard and I'll give it another chance.

I already own the german Zombieland steelbook but I may buy this one as I never got around to opening the german release. I believe the movie was released in the US earlier then the UK and I couldn't wait that long.
