It's still £10 at amazon. I'm guessing they printed a lot of these. The steel is excellent, pitty the transfer has not been re-mastered

is the UK disc different to the US disc?

reason why i'm asking is because i have the US disc (first press with slipcase) and the A/V was pretty much spot on IMHO but i've seen a few comments about the UK disc?

just wondering that's all

"Unless there has been a new release of Akira on Blu-ray in Japan since 2009. This is the version available in Japan. It was released simultaneously by Bandai Visual in US and Japanese territories. It's why Japanese audio tracks outnumber the English by three to one, and it's why you'll also find Japanese subtitles on the disc, as well as English. All Manga did was port over the US release, front load the disc with the Manga logo, and remove the language select screen, so it defaults to English and plays the movie straight off. "
