The set looks great. It's not overly expensive considering the number of films you get - but you'd have to want most of them to make it worthwhile. I also wonder how "limited" it is. I know its gone out of stock a few times, but it always comes back. The British seem to be great at discounting their box sets in short time. I'm tempted to try and wait it out and see if it drops, but fearful it goes away for good.

It is numbered so there is definitely only a certain amount of stock. Unsure how many though but I'd guess around 5-8k.

It looks lovely! But there seems to be a problem with this Uk release, judging from what's written on the Amazon UK page. What's that all about, anyone knows?

I'm not sure, it says product under review and then below it says that the limited edition is sold out. I can't imagine it will be sold out already at this price?

It seems they got customer feedback saying the product is not as described and is now under review because of that (btw it says the same thing for the currently listed Harry Potter Wizard Collection, which is supposed to have all the errors from the first batch corrected)... Maybe it's not sold out, perhaps only the selling of this product is put on hold until further notice? If they indeed find faults, what are they going to do with customers who already bought the set?

I love the look of this set, but I'll be honest... I never grew up watching Alfred Hitchcock and even in adulthood, I haven't really seen anything. I love The Birds and Psycho was pretty good, but off the top of my head, I don't think I've seen anything else. Being that that's the case, I can't justify a blind-buy this huge, so I think I'll just wait for the eventual Digibook of The Birds.

I'm pretty sure my number is 2012, which threw me off because thought that was just the year they released it for a while. Not sure of the exact total either.

I ordered this on 12/19 and it's already in my state as of today. That's the quickest anything has come from amazon.uk for me. I'm crossing my fingers that it arrives today :D
