both are brilliant, but they're not Charlie Chaplins.
for me part of Chaplins magnetism comes from his life outside films. He was such a interesting character on his own...
I was just kidding around. I hold them all in high regard. Lloyd, Keaton, Chaplin, Laurel & Hardy - they all have something great to offer...
And Downey, Jr. was amazing in Chaplin.
(Also, Johnny Depp did an amazing Buster Keaton in Benny & Joon).;)

Wouldn't it be difficult for them to have obtained the Criterion edition/master as it's also Region A? I don't know how rights work, but I can't imagine it would have been easy or cheap to license them that given the same region coding.

Also didn't Korea already release a Chaplin box set that contained all of the MK2 editions some time ago?
 
Must have. A classic movie in an Plain Archive release? I'm in. Transfer could be better but who cares when watching it? Enjoy the movie.
