The artist is definatly talented, it's a hell of a lot better than I could do! Lol! It's just when you are going to create character shots you need to get them pretty much spot on otherwise people are going to pick it out a mile off. A couple of the likenesses are decent but the one they really needed to get right doesn't look like Stallone unfortunatly.

Oh, definitely! The likeness is the most important aspect when you're doing artwork such as this. I'd welcome a delay if it meant they were able to go back and improve it, but release is only a few days away, so it's looking unlikely.

Some pretty harsh comments in here... makes me feel bad for the artist, who is rather talented IMO. I think the art itself is great... it's just the likenesses for certain actors that's a bit off. It's still loads better than the steelbook anyway...

In defense of the steel, that's the difference of playing it safe and being legal vs. taking a risk and doing it illegal without character likeness license from stallone. If im wrong, so be it.... but that's usually the case and it def is the case in regards to the steel. Nobody wants to wait anymore and deal with so many agents and so much time to get it all right. Look at hateful eight poster notice all figures in the blue poster are shadow like.

Interesting... I didn't realise that was an issue for studios that actually own the films. That's usually what crosses my mind when other artists use silhouettes in their artwork though. I wonder if that's the case with this slip too then...? Would explain why the likeness is so off.

It's not produced by Nova, they just sell it. I'm sure it would be a better lenti if it was made by Nova! Their lentis are usually spot on!
