Slap on the face of all the Zavvi naysayers. This is the only version I need besides Blufans. The rest can rest in peace lol.

nice to finally see an improvement with Zavvi but considering their personal track record with me, they've some way to go before I'll shower them with praise TBH.

BUT, it appears they are starting to make an effort so it's certainly restorting my faith in them, a little.


Just hope mine turns up without any issues now(dont like the idea of getting a damaged steel and its been a while since I ordered from Zavvi...agent carter s2 I think was the last one)

Not a bad looking steel! Much better with title on the spine! But still didn't stop me cancelling my preorder in favour of the Blufans edition.

I think in this instance it works better without the title though!

I'll be honest, I think it would look better with no spine title, just the book style spine. But I'll wait for BF so I get my preferred art and a title that suits the steel

Going to be almost a shame to cover this up Although I agree with @Noodles this is one where they could have left the title off

I was really excited for this release.. more than blufans cos I thought this steel art was unique and would look great.. I'm quite disappointed.. the whole thing just looks and feels cheap, the colours are not vibrant so it looks washed out.
I've taken some pictures, the pic's make it look better than it is, giving it a darker more detailed look but in hand it's just not that great.

It reminds me of the wwa iron man 3.. great idea, bad execution with finish etc.. I wish it looked as good as it does in the photo's

I've just put the doc s in a plastic shell which is an improvement as it gives the steel a bit more of a shine

Yes, got to smile . . . after all the trouble and probable toing and froing between Disney and Zavvi to get titles on U.K. DOCTOR STRANGE and future Zavvi Disney steelbooks people prefer this one without the title . . . with the antique book style spine that other territories are getting . . . and on this rarest of rare occasions it's a point well made and as mentioned a while back I'm in that camp too for this unique-looking steel-book as I feel the title on the spine takes something away from the aesthetics of the item as a whole.
Certainly not complaining though . . . and kudos to ALL involved in the decision to consign picture spines on U.K. steelbooks to the dustbin of history.
(even though I actually prefer picture spines on some of the animation steelbooks that I've seen LOL).

EDIT:My copy just arrived after only having been posted yesterday and I love it. Gorgeous steelbook with just the right finish and treatment 9/10.

Can't believe I'm going to say this... but I actually prefer the title-less version too.

It still looks great though, so I'm certainly not going to complain!

Must say it's nice to see Disney listening to feedback, and hopefully all future UK releases will now bear titles.

It'd save me a fair bit, that's for sure! Got the US versions of Ant-Man, Thor 2, Civil War & The Winter Soldier because they had titles on the spine (ironically enough I display my Marvel steelbooks front facing above my TV)

Received mine today.
Looks like it's an aftermarket spine on the steelbook.
It's misaligned and there seepage of the glue from the sides.

Spine looks silly, supposed to be an ancient book. Glad I cancelled this for blufans and hopefully a nice nova lenti with original book end design
