finally got my E2 copy from the GB today

there was a big 2 inch long scratch on the front of the steelbook and a scuff on the spine, the quality control was absolute trash

is there no recourse in obtaining a replacement? if not this was my first and last FAC purchase, what a disappointment especially after such a long wait

anyone tried to play the 3D disc yet? mine is unwatchable. had to put in the Nova disc to be able to watch the movie. Look like wrong decoding/editing :( 3D is unwatchable due to ghosting and bad PQ....

Want a typical response? Who cares. All we need are the goodies and 95% don't even open them.

3D disc alone is 31 gb which suggests this is a new encode. Surprising that it is still bad which suggests the master itself was in a bad shape.

2D disc is 42 GB. This looks quite healthy but once again it down to the master copy they used to encode.

Doesn't sound right to me; Buying a Bluray premium edition to get a faulty disc :(
So we only pay big bucks for the slip and goodies? Hell No...

Well, with Steelbook, most of the times, we have been offered recycled transfers as Studios know someone will buy them for the case. Unfortunately when it comes to these premium releases, it really is frustrating when they do a botched job.

Sadly, most of the collectors don't even open theirs which implies most buy for the goodies and are content with looking at pics and videos posted in youtube.

My DeadPool Full Slip has a bump on the slip. What should I do? Ask for a replacement or just accept it?
As most don't open there is no huge outcry about QC.

I wonder if it is as bad as the UK release?
The PQ on that is most variable.

To be honest, I've yet to see a really good 3D presentation on disc of Dredd, I don't know if the master used in all territories is thie issue.
Strange, as the cinema presentation was superb! (n)

My 3D disc I just played first 10 min and don't have any ghosting
Do you have the ghosting issue from the start or at a later stage in the film

Have you checked other 3D discs in your 3D Blu-ray Player and this might sound silly is your 3D glasses turned on
Some 3D Blu-ray Players and 3D TV's also are better than others so not everyone might have issue with ghosting

3D will soon be dead. It is already dying. Manufactures are ditching it gradually. Personally, except for few titles, have never been impressed by 3D.

I have no interest in watching in 3D, although I don't mind having them included in the package as it kind of increases the value.

I will give the 2D disc a spin.

Just ripped the 2D disc minus foreign languages / subtitles, the size is 24.4 GB (26,223,800,320 bytes)

You are aware in the UK
The high court in 2015 has quashed regulations introduced by the government in 2014 to allow members of the public to lawfully copy CDs and other copyright material bought for their own private use.
Unless UK law get's changed ripping films from Blu-ray/DVD to a hard drive is still illegal

If they start enforcing, I am sure half of the population will be in Jail. Few paulbolands are enough to put normal people like me into trouble lol.
Thank God, I don't upload to youtube or buy pirated Blu-rays.
