I can imagine these May be like the Jack Ryan release (no embossing)

Part of me thinks it's brilliant they are releasing them, but the other half is a tad deflated on the titles I hunted down and paid a pretty penny getting them.

No embossing would at least keep the originals "exclusive" in some capacity, but retain the overall quality of the designs

Yep the gloss finish, thick metal and multi level embossing front and back without a border certainly appear cheap...
