'Hunter-Killer' Comic Book Property Coming to PSN

Top Cow Productions has inked a deal with Union Entertainment and Blacklight: Tango Down developer Zombie Studios to bring one of its bestselling comic book properties, Hunter-Killer, to the PlayStation Network. Co-created by artist Marc Silvestri and writer Mark Waid, Hunter-Killer deals with a government program devised to create 'genetically-enhanced living super-weapons' known as 'Ultras' with the purpose of preventing nuclear war.

When several of these Ultras go rogue however, it's down to a loyal group of Ultras known as the Hunter-Killers to hunt them down and neutralise them. What follows is a team-based "all-out Ultras battle" set to arrive on PSN. As such, Zombie's Mark Long is “really excited for Zombie to work with a property as complex as Hunter-Killer,” following the success of Blacklight on PSN.

“As an avid gamer, I really like how Zombie plans to bring Hunter-Killer to life,” said Top Cow President, Matt Hawkins. “Bringing a great developer like Zombie and a great game design to a premier Top Cow title is exactly what we expect and get out of our ongoing alliance with Union.”

“As we helped show with The Darkness, Top Cow is rife with ‘gameable’ properties,” says Union’s Richard Leibowitz. "Bringing together a great property, a great game design, and a great developer is one of the things Union does best. We’re all excited to be taking this next interactive foray into the Top Cow universe.”

No date or further details are currently available for Hunter-Killer, but expect to hear a lot more fom this one in the near future.
