This is definitely better than the Play edition;

1- cover is closer to how the one sheet poster actually looks in terms of the placement of the credits
2- spine is nicer
3- this'll be glossy
4- no age ratings

I love it! Kind of worried about the slips though, since there's really not that much decent artwork available for this film... unless of course they use illustrated art like they have done for the back of the steel.

I may be the minority/boring but I'd buy the hell out of an edition that just uses the same image again either on a full slip or a lenticular. It's just one of the most classic images/posters in pop culture

I completely agree and wouldn't mind if they used it again either to be honest... maybe without all the names/credits on though.

Can't agree with that as it is ruined by the ratings logos plastered all over it.

You need not but you have to admit that without the rating logs, it looks way better than this. Also it was priced £10.99 or £14.99 when it was released by Play.com ages ago.

Oh, and I already see fanboy posts. So I better stay away for a while lol.

I love the back artwork. Really iconic. Not just a basic still. Same colour palette as the front. The whole thing works really well.

I can see why people like it, but I REALLY don't like it when a film with lots of interesting characters has just one of those characters everywhere on the steelbook. Seriously, the film is far more than just Uma Thurman's character .

I like the artwork, I think the back looks ok but I would prefer something a bit clearer rather than a sketch style image. I prefer the original you found here.

Since nobody did it yet, I wanted to see play.com exclusive and Nova side by side, so here it is

Definitely Nova is a winner here, no ratings, no blu-ray disc logo on front, no Miramax logo, no ratings on spine, credits are in better position, and, most importantly......wait for it.....waaaaait for it.....it´s gonna be in FULL GLOSS

Besides, tha back artwork on play.com exclusive is not perfect at all, looks really badly photoshopped.

Yeah, I remember that the price wasn´t such an issue for me back then, but I just couldn´t get over those bloody rating logos, it just ruins it all.

Although I like the back art on Nova steel, I would rather have some other characters there as some of you guys mentioned. We have Uma on both Kill Bills (steelbooks and slips as well). Back should have been different indeed. Now we can only hope that either 1) Nova will change it completely (based on feedback as they did some changes with RD as well), or 2) they won´t put Uma on slips anymore. I want f*ckin Butch on one of the slips!!!

I know it's relevant to the movie, surprised the film studio approved the cocaine sniffing scene for the artwork though.

Maybe we'll get a Basic instinct exclusive with the infamous beaver still as the back artwork lol
