GAME NIGHT-
Smart, well written and directed. Great fun.

READY PLAYER ONE -
Very dumb script. All the easter eggs and reference-palooza amount to nothing.
It is pandering to the Nth Degree. It felt like I was watching Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within all over again. All CGI spectacle with no soul....AGAIN. (This is getting tiring).

North Sea Hijack

Excellent boys own adventure with Roger Moore giving the task of taking back an oil rig hijacked by our favourite psycho Anthony Perkins. This German blu-ray which I watched is an excellent print and I've never seen the film looking as good.

To Late for Tears 1949

Excellent film noir which has only been recently restored. You won't guess the ending in a million years.

Town on Trial 1954

A killer on the loose in an English village, basically Broadchurch 50 years ago with a superb performance from John Mills whose character is a template for Dirty Harry. Superb blu-ray print

Carry on Cleo 1964

An absolute hoot with Amanda Barrie and Sid James as Anthony and Cleopatra and a 1000 times more entertaining than Richard Burton or Elizabeth Taylor. They even use the same sets but Carry on wins hands down and still delivers today. So many gags you could write a book on them....

Get Carter remake

What were they thinking. It stinks in every area. Watch the original and avoid this like the plague.
