Not Scott's best, but i was entertaning, the visuals are good, Christian Bale is very good, but is butchered in the editing (and there is no going a Extended Cut for this)

Dracula Untold -
1n-png.127234
1n-png.127234
halfn-png.127233

Not bad, there is a good perfomance by Luke Evans, and the visuals and the score are good too, but the script, has his problems, i enjoyed for the most part.

Jupiter Ascending

I had my doubts about watching this due to poor reviews and the fact that (for me) the Wachowskis either succeed wildly or fail abysmally, with no middle ground. (From my point of view, they succeeded with The Matrix and V for Vendetta. That's it.)

Cleverly, they've simply embroidered on a straightforward 'lost princess discovers evil heritage and finds love' tale, but it is done on a grand, breathtakingly pretty science fantasy stage with echoes of the family politics of Dune: the evil is smiling and sophisticated and the good is heartily sick of it all.

Highly entertaining and fun throughout. Plus, if you have HD, the blu ray of this (due in June) may well be one of 2015s finest reference discs.

Skin Trade

I spotted this film a while back. With Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa, Ron Pearlman and Michael Jai White, it promised to be something out of the ordinary amongst action thrillers.

It fulfilled its promise.

A brutal action thriller that deals with the vile trade of human trafficking in an honest but not voyeuristic way, bringing a new spin to the 'tough cop out for revenge' angle, adding heart and depth to excellent cinematography and some stunning fight scenes.

Blackhat

Oops. An attempt to exploit hacking as a thriller angle. This is one of those films that has all the right components but they only manage to build a wreck.

Unfortunately not mate. Blackhat bored me to tears, and I hated the characters in Spring Breakers... although I can see why some people would enjoy it. Did you like both films?

Sorry for the late reply. I think I am one of a few that enjoyed both Blackhat and Spring Breakers. I can certainly understand why people wouldn't like them.

I always thought I was in the minority, as I actually know quite a few people who really enjoyed them both. Aren't they supposed to be making a Spring Breakers 2?
