I enjoyed both equally. I think many expected a 1:1 recreation of the original.
If anything, the remake made me appreciate the original more and has convinced me to give it another go. My only issue with the remake, however, is Scarlett Johansson... I think she was wrongly cast, and not because of her race/nationality, but I think her Hollywood status was too big for the role... I would've preferred someone lesser known taking on the Major character -- I realise I'm probably alone on that though lol.

I can understand that; it makes sense.
I personally didnt have any issues with Scarlett; she did the best she could, however, to a certain extent i can agree about wrongly casting. It's not so much a lesser known actor, but i would've preferred a 'complex' actor.

Valley of the Eagles 1951.
Nice British movie in which a Norwegian scientist goes in search of his missing wife who has stolen a secret formula. Some nice action work from future Bond director Terrance Young.

I liked Big Game more than Ghost in the Shell. I would actually give it 2 and 3/4 Ninjas.

This literally took me all day to get through as it kept sending me to sleep... I even sped up the last hour just so the bloody thing would end quicker.

Enjoyable enough with some good performances, but the shoddy editing stopped this from being great IMO.

I'm not sure you wanna post on the same page that SUPERBAD is flawless and a classic like SOLARIS is only worthy of one star.:wow:;)
(Please don't post that Dirty Grandpa is a better De Niro film than Once Upon a Time in America)

Had the pleasure of watching this in theaters for the first time and wow! I was so amazed. Add to that such clever dialogue and delivery, i couldnt hold my laughter in; it was genuinely hilarious!
