I would've posted this in the Play.com thread, but it's locked. Now that Zavvi are producing exclusive Steelbooks, should they release the entire Bond series in Steelbook form?

snooloui, would you be cool with starting a new poll? I just worry about this one, because the votes are going to be swayed considerably, due to it being Zavvi only.

How about a "James Bond steelbooks in the UK" poll? then it opens up to the poll to all retailers.

Please don't take offense to this, I would quite literally cut off a finger to have
all the Bonds in steelbook.

Of course I don't have a problem with that. Feel free to start a new thread (I don't believe I can edit a poll) if you want to :)

They should.

But their packaging is so bad that nearly every steelbook would be damaged :D

I believe something is in the works to fix that.

They got direct feedback from HDN and perhaps even the folks at play about what they can do.

I'd like zavi to release them all. They have sorted the packaging and they deliver before release date (See the Who Framed Roger Rabbit Thread);)

Even though I own the FS series. The artwork and printed back leaves a lot to be desired.

I think Zavvi and MGM could do much better and would purchase again without hesitation.

PS Connery will always be the ultimate Bond imo ;)

I take it you've not seen:

Dr No
From Russia With Love
Goldfinger
Thunderball
On Her Majesty's Secret Service
The Living Daylights

Nothing cheesy about those, especially the early ones, give them a go if you haven't seen them.

Not a fan of Dr No or Thunderball I'm afraid. I'd really love to see the rest you mention, plus You Only Live Twice, For Your Eyes Only and Martin Campbell's Casino Royale. Of course, I'd probably end up buying all of them if they released them.

Original poster artwork would be great on these - if the price was right (£10-£11, rather than £15), then these would be worthwhile additions.

Forgot to say that I'd love to see these with the original film poster artwork. I really liked the Goldeneye steelie, and many of those early films had awesome film posters when they were first released. The UK art for Goldfinger, You Only Live Twice and The Living Daylights would be particularly awesome!

I would however, like to see new artwork for Casino Royale. The film poster was almost as unispiring as Skyfall. The Skyfall steelie artwork was so much better. I'd like to see them do something similar for Casino Royale. Hell, I might even be tempted to buy Quantum of Solace if it had matching art.

TonyDA - you beat me to it lol!

Lol - great minds, and all that! :)

Some of the original posters are amazing - you'd end up with the Connery, Lazenby, Moore films in the same style as the recent Warner 90th Anniversary series....awesome!

The thing with the Daniel Craig films is that they do do many different posters these days there could be different artwork used - so you could get your different Casino Royale artwork after all!
