Nope, they are made out of metal similar to a steelbook. The amaray slides in the side where the notch out is

EDIT: The Taiwan Gladiator Steelbook come with that image on a paper slipcover. The steelbook is the standard realease cover with Russel on one knee

yeah, but these are better than Steelbooks

If you imagine TDK was the first one and since than there where only 14 released, so this is not that mass product like Steelbook
