From PA Facebook :
We're excited to announce the official launch of Plain Archive's sub-brand Plain Selective.

Unlike Plain Archive, Plain Selective will focus on mainstream films of bigger scale and bigger budget as well as a wide variety of genres.

Plain Selective will include releases which the home video sales rights are owned by a different company. The making of these releases will not be controlled by us. Instead, Plain Selective releases are going to be a joint effort between Plain and a partner.

Please note that Plain's main focus will still be Plain Archive. Therefore, Plain Selective could see as little as one or two releases a year.

This official launch of Plain Selective is what you might call an experiment, one of our ways of dealing with the diminishing state of the Blu-ray market. Between Plain and our partners, we'll be taking appropriate measures on our human resources to ensure Plain Archive meets its future release schedule. In other words, Plain Selective will be our second priority, with random release patterns.

By working with Lotte Entertainment and Video Travel, Terminator Genisys (2015) is going to be released as a Steelbook this May.

We'll be posting detailed updates on Terminator Genisys Steelbook as soon as we get Paramount's approval.

Thank you.

We're aware that Terminator Genisys is already available as Steelbook in overseas market. Most of the copies are aimed at our Korean customers as the film hasn't been released in Blu-ray yet in Korea. We will sell some copies to our international customers, but please note that it will be very limited in quantity.

Terminator Genisys Steelbook Lenticular Sample Video (Approved by Paramount) : High quality conversion lens was used to execute a perfect transition effect. It's also high-resolution, allowing the image to stay sharp and minimize any blur.

Plain Selective = new line featuring more popular movies. PA explained when they announced this title that it was a necessary move to stay in business. They also lamented the state of the Blu-ray business. So I don't think they would bother with this movie if they weren't in danger of going under. This line will help them keep their other lines going.

Also, that steelbook is WEA, not WWA.
Well in that case it makes perfect sense. I'm glad they have a new line to stay in business and also could see some great mainstream WEA Steelbooks. I was having trouble understanding how they were making any money internationally with most titles not sold out. I have a lot of there earlier stuff like Rust and Bone, BITWC, The Wrestler, The Master, ect, and think they are all excellent releases. I hope they get back on there feet,I'm glad the SB is WEA but I already will be getting the HDzeta Boxset, so it would need to be pretty incredible.

I do feel like there is a range of movies that is underserved by the premium steelbook companies - movies in between the big blockbusters like Terminator 5 and the purely arthouse movies like Searching for Sugarman. Movies like Foxcatcher, The Wrestler, The Big Short, Bridge of Spies, and Southpaw. I wish PA would tap into this range of movies (which traditionally don't receive the premium treatment). I feel that this would serve their business model better and help them stay in business. Because I certainly have no interest in spending money on Om Shanti Om or Blue is the Warmest Color. Their steelbook releases have been on the money, but I rarely have interest in their normal keepcase releases.

That's just my two cents and of course I have no idea how easy/hard it is for them to license movies.

Well they already have released two of those. The Westler got a Steelbook and Foxcatcher will be getting a release soon. I know there main aim is to produce titles that wouldn't normally get a release. I'm fine with that, the titles are not for everybody but you can pick and choose which ones you like. I also don't have a problem with them releasing a bigger title like this, if it helps fund some of the lesser known titles then it's fine by me!:)

I mentioned those two - The Wrestler and Foxcatcher - because they have been picked up by PA. It was meant to illustrate the fact that they need to produce more releases like those.

They are more well known releases for sure. I'm guessing licence fees aren't cheap though for the bigger films. Oldboy and A Most Wanted Man are similar types of titles though I think, well known but not blockbusters. We are still waiting for those though!

Oldboy is a must buy and I haven't seen A Most Wanted Man but I would definitely buy a PA steelbook release of it. I'm also looking forward to Sicario and Foxcatcher (which I hope is getting a steelbook release).
