Yeah sorry,I copied & pasted the specs from a text file and seem to have duplicated the same 3D specs twice - here are the verified specs on text- the Japanese audio and text do exist as per all Warner Bros Blu-ray discs, presumably they can only be activated in a Japanese region Blu-ray player as they are not available from the main menu.

Dutch subtitles are available on the 2D disc

Was going to grab this as it was only £19.99 in HMV but i dont have any other LOTR or hobbit films in steelbook form so i knew if i got this my OCD would have gone crazy on my walket, plus the 1st films 3D steel is a jumbo and wouldnt look right with this so i went with the 3D lenticular amaray which matches the other hobbit movie.

Received it today. It's a shame Warner has not produced a lenticular steelbook to match the first (French) Hobbit steelbook, but I still do very much like this Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug steelbook. Worth the money ;-)

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Matte UK - Custom Glossed

Wasted opportunity as the artwork suits LOTR and not Hobbit. The people who approve these designs should be suspended or fired.

Seeing this round of Steelbooks makes me grouchy every time because the artwork has little or nothing to do with:

Hobbits
Dragons
Desolation
Dale
Smaug
Arkenstone

Basically nothing to do with the entire story and title. Gandalf may be off doing some important stuff but he's on the sidelines, a footnote right now. Legolas, Tauriel, and Thranduil are also all footnotes compared to Bilbo and (to a degree) Thorin.

Also really, what person in their right mind would not want to put Smaug on the cover of a Steelbook? Come on. Unless they're saving that one for the extended edition, it's a travesty to just pass up that opportunity.
