That's a sample proof sheet for scanavo

Finish of the actual steelbook is not the same thing as a sample proof sheet

Steelbook could still end up been a matte finish

A sample proof sheet is not the actual steelbook finish it's the artwork template for scanavo to use

Most steelbook sample proof sheet will look reflective and shiny in a video regardless what the actual finish of the steelbook will be

This will be very rare if it is gloss from Arrow but whenever I've seen a retailer post a sample sheet the steelbook usually turns out having that finish

I'm not getting my hopes up and I'm not expecting gloss but fingers crossed it is and will be a lovely surprise if so

Don't think much of the back and would have preferred something like this with its nod to the previous steelbook:-

There's the Drew Struzan variant too from the time he did the image on the front but maybe too much of a good thing (lol):-

Not as if some Arrow steels don't have great artwork on the back as well as on the front and when the opportunity presents itself the back art can be as good as the front . . . or if not as good then perfectly complementary to the front art.
Best back artwork seen on the Arrow Italian steelbooks with the less good back artwork seen more on the U.S. steels (KING OF N.Y., INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS, BIG TROUBLE IN LITTLE CHINA etc.).

In conclusion: at least there is artwork on all of these (Eureka take note ).

This one no better or worse than some previous U.S. steels.

Probably but I am getting so annoyed that cult classics like this are not getting a proper treatment. Hate these near blank artworks.

I actually like the minimalistic backs. I think all the effort should be on the front artwork as that's where the focus should be. That iconic artwork is exactly what I wanted on the front. So I'm a happy camper.

I can't see any reason for Arrow NOT to gloss this up. 1) It's a bare, 1 disc, non booklet release, so i figure they're caning the profit on this release. 2) the Driller Killer steelbook is glossed all around the outside edge, with spot gloss on the red parts of front and back........so they CAN do it when it suits them. That was blu ray AND dvd discs AND booklet AND £17.99, same price as The Thing. If they want to maximize their profit, then i dont think they gloss this.......they might spot gloss it in places. The back is ok for me, but really i would have like to see something more spectacular for this release. Look at the back art of the upcoming Society steelbook, or the back art of their Demons steelbook, i'm not saying they're the best, but you can see an effort has been made, to say the lesst..........c'mon Arrow!

It's a good back considering the likely circumstances. Seen much worse, and im sure hiring Struzan is out of the question.
