The only PTA film I loved on first watch was Boogie Nights... probably because it reminded me a lot of Tarantino. The rest of his films I didn't properly enjoy until watching them for a second/third time, but even before that I didn't exactly dislike them... I guess I just thought they were all a bit overrated at first. Would love steels for all his films now though!

I would love Plain to take on the PTA catalogue after they are finished with The Master :D

You're in the UK, did you see my post at the top of the page? If you like the film and score, this is the event of the year! It will be mind blowing I'm sure!

My Dad and I saw the screening of the first Star Trek (Abrams') at the Royal Albert Hall with the full orchestral score last month. It was sensational. I agree, a similar event for TWBB would be superb.

Plain are doing a steelbook for The Master? Not sure how I missed that! But, yeah... would love to see them do steels for all the entire PTA catalogue, like you said.

I have indeed seen your previous post and it sounds really cool! I probably wouldn't be able to make it to the event though unfortunately, nor would I be able to afford it. :(

Ah, got my hopes up now! :p

I'm sure it'll still look really nice though... PA have done some of the nicest slips I've ever seen. I kind of regret passing on them all to be honest.

Hasn't been confirmed as a steelbook release, but they're certainly producing an edition. I would be just as happy with a similar level of slip box design, with a clear amaray case and booklet ala Melancholia. What has been confirmed is that the same guy who designed the Melancholia edition will be designing the PA edition of the Master, which can only be a good thing.

Thanks Groakybaby - had this on pre-order many moons ago only to lose out to a credit card that expired by the time it was released. Now down to 2. Surprised they were not all snapped up in an instant...
