I fully agree with you. Initially, I was rather put off by the trailer, thinking that it was going to be a gung-ho American war film. When I actually got round to seeing it at the cinema, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was an intense and moving personal drama, all the more effective for being a true story.

I'm not enamoured with the artwork of Universal's Steelbook but, given the quality of the film, plus the usual FA Collection trappings, I'm certainly up for this.

Anyone who liked "Unbroken" should also check out the similarly themed "The Railway Man". An equally moving true story of endurance as a Prisoner of War in Japanese captivity, but done in a more quintessential British manner. Recommended.

augustus...Thanks fo the info. about the Railway Man...will check that out. Looking forward for this release...really enjoyed the film...especially the opening bombing run...that was first rate.

This was one of the more boring films of the year. I fell asleep 3 times during. Will never watch again.
