Mine has to be Saving Private Ryan, it just has everything that a movie should and the way it was shot was so different. The opening, beach scene, alone makes it a worthy winner.

Hook purley because I watched it as a kid all the time and my group of friends all love it too so it just means something.
Saving private ryan purley because it's the best war film around and it's just amazing
