To enter:

1) What 5 films should receive the Criterion treatment and why?

2) What 3 films have been given the Criterion treatment, that, according to you should not have, and why?

Good luck all!

Visit the Steelbook Group Buy forum to obtain editions from retailers that do not ship to you

My 5 picks have been chosen simply because I think the directors' works deserves more full-on representation and Criterion is a great way to introduce film enthusiasts to the breadth of their talent.

1. Millenium Mambo
2. Blue Gate Crossing
3. Lilja 4 Ever
4. Just Before Nightfall
5. Next Door

3 I would remove:

1. Bottle Rocket
2. The Royal Tenenbaums
3. Rushmore

I'm just not that into Wes Anderson!

Thanks!

1) What 5 films should receive the Criterion treatment and why?
Social Network
Motorcycle diaries
Hard Candy
Infernal Affairs
Pan's Labyrinth

2) What 3 films have been given the Criterion treatment, that, according to you should not have, and why?
Oh hard to say
Hoover - Was only a so-so movie
Chasing Amy - Would have selected Clerks over this
Traffic - Didn't really need this COllecter's edition or maybe I just didn't want to double dip

1. LA Confidential
2. The Grand Budapest Hotel
3. Lost in Translation
4. Dirty Pretty Things
5. The Beach

Love all these movies and a couple aren't even on blu ray yet! Crazy.

1. The Rock
2. Armageddon
3. Blue is the warmest colour.

Even though I like these movies they don't feel special enough to be in the criterion collection

Thanks

Thanks!!!!!

Blade Runner
Lost in Translation
One flew over the cuckoos nest
The shining
Hudson Hawk

Armaggedon
3 Women
Tootsie

Should receive Criterion treatment:
1. The Social Network - it's imo, Fincher's best one to date
2. The Roman Holiday - my favorite Audrey Hepburn movie and it's not on blu-ray yet :(
3. The Grand Budapest Hotel - it's Wes Anderson!
4. Moonrise Kingdom - it's Wes Anderson!
5. The Cranes are Flying - heard wonderful things about this movie, would love it to get a Criterion treatment

Shouldn't have:
1. Salo - I can't even stand watching the trailer
2. The Night of the Hunter - I don't get all the great reviews at all
3. Purple Noon - didn't find anything special about it :/

Thanks for the giveaway! :)
