Favorite sci fi trilogy has to be The original trilogy of star wars, but im sure after this 3rd film in the new trilogy, i'll switch to that.

The Matrix might be my favourite Sci-Fi movie but the drag factor of 2 and 3 stop it being my favourite trilogy so I'd have to go with Back to the Future.

Favorite SF trilogy: Chaos Walking, by Patrick Ness (books, but you didn't say they had to be movies; and they'll be movies soon enough, too.)

It's getting boring, but my favorite Sci-Fi trilogy's also the original Star Wars trilogy.
The Matrix had a great first movie, but went South right after that.
