Your Music Collection

There are a ton of insanely amazing collections on here, but I haven't seen any mention of music collections yet. And since this is where most of my savings went for the past 6 years or so, I thought I'd start a thread for everyone to post their collections, be it a particular band, record label, a specific format, or anything and everything combined.

I'll post some of mine, as soon as I dig up some photos.

So I just found a semi-new picture (it was taken just over a year ago) of my most prized collection, by a band called AFI. The bulk of it was compiled in the years 2006-2009, since then only a handful of pieces were added. I considered parting with it at one time, but decided that it would just be too painful to let it go.

I have over 3000 CDs from Europe and many rare music CDs...all stashed in boxes after boxes after boxes... I was importing them to the US like no tomorrow...spending about $30 each.

Great pic, that's the kind I like most!! I'm also into buying limited & rare editions (I almost never buy a standard, bare-bones edition of anything, be it music, film or book), but they tend to get rather expensive, so I rather build up my movie collection.

Yeah, they have 8 studio albums and around 10 EPs. But after all different pressings, editions from various countries and random merchandise I'm up to roughly 280 pieces at the moment. I actually keep a detailed list of every media related purchase I make, this collection so far was just under 8k EUR. Basically, for 4 years (from the last year of high school until the third year of college) 95% of my savings went into it.

HOT DAMN! I knew they had a ton of releases with eps and 7inches, but that really does put it into perspective. I tip my hat to you, that is quite impressive.

I, like the OP, has spent far too much money on music during the past 8-10 years. It took me many years to actually switch to the digital age and I have what I think is quite the collection of cds. 145GB, 23000 songs, totals 60 days worth of tunes.

Amazing collection. Looks like a piece of art all laid out nicely like that.

I've never thought about counting my collection but I must have at least 1000 CD's and DVD's (music, not film) and I've just recently started buying vinyl and I have about 150 records already.
