Warner Home Video has announced “Frozen Planet” for Blu-ray release on April 17th. The set will include 3-discs containing avery episode originally aired on BBC. The show will be presented with a 5.1 DTS-HD MA track, a nice upgrade to what WB is used to provide for these types of sets. Check below for a list of supplements.

• On Thin Ice – A unique exploration into how climate change is affecting the animals and people of the polar regions and what that might mean for the rest of us.
• Freeze Frame – A series of 6 10-minute “making of” video diaries, one for each episode.
• Science at the Ends of the Earth – Special “making of” documentary with interviews with the producers and camera crew who filmed this astonishing series
