THE MOVIE:

While not the best team up from Berg and Wahlberg it’s still an entertaining flick that’s worth a watch. If you are a Mark Wahlberg fan then you’ll likely find enjoyment a bit more than others. I’m a fan of Wahlberg and I think it allowed me to look past some of the not so strong points of the film. There are some scenes that I feel could have actually been better perhaps with a different actor in his place. Never the less this is definitely a film that you need to commit yourself to and give it the time that is needed for it to shake out and get better as it goes along.

VIDEO QUALITY:

MILE 22 comes to blu-ray with a 1080p transfer that adds both clarity and grit. Lots of smoke haze and explosion lit scenes add a cinematic experience that helps you feel the scenes. Grain is apparent in many of these scenes, but nothing that detracts from the experience. Overall its a great blu-ray transfer and comparable to other big budget action films of today.

AUDIO QUALITY:

MILE 22 comes to Blu-ray with an English DTS HD Master 7.1 Audio Track. With a film that has a crazy amount of bullets flying and explosions the 7.1 track comes in handy. With every flash bang, grenade and car wreck it’s a great track adding an immersive audio experience.
