Well, I have seriously mixed feelings about this.
I have seen the movie, and while I thought it was a good one, great is something else for me (probably contrary to the popular opinion).
I have also seen the UK steelbook, which is, admittedly, a beauty.
And then this one comes along with alternate choice.
Again, looks good, but great? That's debatable.
Add to that the fact that I have recently seen this movie and have no desire to rewatch this soon again, and I'm left with the choice, should I opt out and save july money (which already has 3 mondo releases for me), or continue the line without missing #010.
It's probably going to be the latter, but honestly, I was hoping for something else. Alas it isn't.

I agree, when I first saw the pictures for True Detective I didn't care for it but once in hand was a different story. Love the slipcover for this .

The pics DO NOT do True Detective justice at all. I had a mint spare that I offered a few folk to have at cost and was turned down! The pics make it look ugly. But once you have it in hand its a different story. It's as equally amazing as the show!

I know there are some other titles on the various wish lists (like Jurassic Park) but we ran into a lot of challenges getting some of the great titles we wanted - but we keep pushing and making headway so keep the suggestions coming!

It's also good to go with unexpected choices, and surprise us with stuff we didn't know we wanted.

I mean, if we listened to many people here, we'd only have Iron Man and Godzilla steelbooks .

I'm in favour of Mondo coming up with steelbooks for films that don't have steelbook editions yet, hope to see more of that in the future (so far only Boyhood and Flash Gordon fit that criteria). And as berns suggests, It Follows would be an appropriate candidate!
