So I'm guessing that everyone else has been caught off-guard by Zavvi yet again? What are Zavvi playing at? I wonder how many people have had funds taken a week before schedule and messed up their budget, or worse, had orders cancelled due to lack of funds?

I sure hope that we're going to get some answers from Zavvi as to why this has happened again at such short notice, as it's UNACCEPTABLE!

It was originally to be 3 March 2014 then changed to 10 March

Most people knew it was changed to 10 March or expected it to be 3 March
It always best to check here and Zavvi website daily for any date changes

I see this stuff every zavvi release. My recommendation....if 20 pounds coming out of your bank account puts this much stress on you, you have 2 options. Use paypal so that the money is paid upfront and it's taken care of, or don't pre-order.

This is an established thing with Zavvi, they get things to us early! I for one will never complain about a company fulfilling its orders ahead of schedule

As posted above, the date was changed weeks ago, hardly short notice. If you can't keep track of a few pre-orders, maybe you should stop pre-ordering. Alternatively, subscribe to the upcoming Steelbooks thread as date changes are always posted there.

Just have to say I can't wait for it now. 101 Dalmatians is my all time, FAVOURITE Disney film. Possibly just ahead of Mulan and Lilo & Stitch!
Glossy/Non-Glossy/Tin Foil, I still would have had this. Pictures incoming no doubt.
Well done though Zavvi, Monday releases always annoy me anyway, I like watching things over the weekend, so this'll be brilliant.

I did I post the info for that release date change look at the upcoming release thread and this thread

It was posted the release date changed for March 16 2014 to March 3 2014 in this thread snooloui posted that change it was posted on 22 January

Then on 21 February I posted notice of March 3 was changed to March 10th

Both were posted here and in upcoming thread

But Zavvi should send emails to all who place an order if the release date is changing an in my opinion that should be a minimum 2 weeks notice
I will be sending this request to Zavvi to do this for future date changes

The issue here is that Zavvi are pissing about with everyone's budgeting including mine.
We have Cars 3D , UP 3D all jumped forward with little to no notice to anyone and we also did not budget for these 2 steelbooks along with 101 Dalmations , There will be blood , Boy in pyjamas's etc all together.
This could cause serious issues for people with direct debits on the same account and did not know Zavvi would just put there hand in and take an extra £40 for 2 more steelbooks early.
If this had caused me bank charges for direct debit failures I would be seriously pissed off as most people budget for staggered releases and not all together in one bloody week like this !!!!

And have just got a note Mary Poppins is on it's way to me. I agree with your comments, it's not right to send items before their release date. People have a right to know when they are going to be charged and on what date not when it suits Zavvi.
