Mr, yeah I think people are not complaining about that fact, but rather that the items are not shipping on or around release date, but just getting shipped unpredictably in some instances. So if someone thought the release date was Feb 14, but suddenly is charged Feb 2, or another date, then they have no way to know when payment is due. With all of the different releases, I think it's a fair concern.

Seriously, if you dont have funds for it dont pre-order , basic economy.

Hi mate you are missing the point here a little ..... most people do have the funds ready for it but don't expect to have no warning and have the money taken a week in advance and release dates suddenly changed.
I think you would moan if you had say your mortgage and household bills all on direct debit and suddenly you have someone wanting your payments a week earlier than your salary going into your account :scat:

Wow. eBay sellers are using Geek's mock-ups now? He really has hut the big time. He should get commission! :p

My bad.

:hilarious:

A similar thing happened with some concept stuff I did for fun for the Star Wars Rebels Series. I posted the stuff on my deviant art page and soon after people on youtube were making videos out of it and putting it out there as real Lucasfilm stuff. :hilarious::hilarious::hilarious:

I clearly stated none of it was real and was the equivalent of visual fan fiction...but people clearly don't read anymore.

I don't see the big deal myself. If you're not comfortable buying something without seeing the full product, then don't buy it. Zavvi isn't forcing anyone to order.

 oh good grief. Using this line of thought... One would never have a single valid complaint. Because nobody is ever forced to order anything. Customer service and consideration is still necessary.

Every time Zavvi has pulled this stunt the back artwork has never failed to pretty much unanimously disappoint. If they are not showing us their hand it is for good reason.

Come to think of it I believe you're right. I don't recall any of Zavvi steelbooks where they did not show the back artwork and we were all pleasantly surprised by it when we got it. Let's hope that trend ends with this batch coming now.

Or they haven't received the rear art from Disney. It's not like they scan the box and put that on the order page.

I understand the frustration that we want to be presented the full facts with steelbooks before we order, but we have to accept that they're just a product mainly designed to be watched and put on a shelf. How often are rear covers shown on amaray listings on Amazon, Zavvi or Asda etc? 50%? More? Less?

As someone who does open their steelbooks and does keep them on a shelf, I find it more important to see what the spine looks like than the back. Even then, it doesn't usually stop me from buying it, it's just that I can make an informed decision and not be disappointed on the day.

I can certainly see why people get upset when the product doesn't look like the image (Man of Steel with a printed 3D, when none is shown on Amazon's listing) but most of us have been collectors long enough now to know certain things. We know WB UK loves to slap 3D on the box, Disney will avoid titles on the spine of new releases whenever it can and StudioCanal region lock their titles.

At this point, these things, as well as the back of most Disney classics looking rubbish should come as no surprise.
