I love how the text on the spine is minimal on this one as opposed to the huge Stanley Kubrick's text on the Zavvi Clockwork Orange and Shining steels.

Yup and Zavvi's version will be hugely inferior to this in every way. But cheap price means cheap product on the Zavvi Kubrick Range.

this looks even worse than the zavvi steelbooks

you're judging the quality by its price and this is a 2500yen quality steelbook.. for this price usually you get only trash releases like goonies or v for vendetta from amazon.co.jp.. and this seems to be of the exact same quality

I personally think it's very very poor. The iconic panting from the poster should be the front cover. Someone does a steelbook with that, I"m in.

Bound to release it in their Stanley Kubrick range. Will no doubt have streaky matte black paint job with embossed logo and artwork that fades when light it applied.

Now I only have 1 left. I wonder how many they did for Japan. I don't think it was even 1000. If I recall this one went OOS pretty fast. Kind of like The Bourne Trilogy.

Japan doesn't have much of a though process when it comes to catalog releases. Just random it seems like.
