hdn steelbook of the year 2012.jpg

:ninja:Hey HDN Community!:ninja:

Just in time for the Oscar nominations (to be announced tomorrow), we come together once again for the 2nd Annual 'HDN Steelbook of the year' vote for our 'overall' favorite Steelbook™ of 2012. You are allowed to choose multiple titles, but cannot vote again after you submitted your vote with your multiple choices. Please choose carefully.

I have tallied all of your Steelbook 'nominations' from this thread and have posted a poll of the '25 most nominated' Steelbooks in this thread, in no particular order.

The community-chosen winner will be announced at the conclusion of the poll (January 31,2013).

Have fun everyone, and thank you all for making HDN such a fun, engaging and helpful community with your contributions!

Who should be the winner for 2012?

Just realised you can choose multiple steels, so my votes are now in! :D

For me it is Iron Man. This one looks so nice and perfect. There alre also many other good titles and I think this is the best contest, if you have more than one or two options:)

I couldn't limit myself to just one, so I picked 3.
The Raid's original artwork with the debossing on the front and back is sexy as hell.
The Terminator is awesome. The eye effect alone had me swooning. I wasn't around when HDN got to pick the interior art, but that's also super cool.
Battle Royale is so slick looking and awesome that I think the simplicity of it might actually make it my favorite. The black with the blood running down it? Awesome!
I must admit, I'm a little disappointed that I don't see Zombie Flesh Eaters on the list. Despite the recent issues with the disc, the artwork on this one is sensational.

THE RAID THE RAID THE RAID

I have to vote for THE RAID, first to ever have the back debossed, it is different from the Key Art, it is simple the perfect Steelbook, we may never see such an awesome piece of packaging ever again.

The votes were done too early, before certain steels came out. Cloverfield (UK) is a better steel than any of the ones on this list.
