Hi All,

It's that time of year where we start looking back at movie Steelbook releases over the last year, and nominate our 'overall favorites' for a final poll in which you can vote in, in January 2013. This thread is only used to post your absolute favorites of 2012-voting is done in a separate thread later on. This is the Steelbook that you think has the best combo of art, features, etc.

Mods, please leave this thread in the main Steelbook area for now.

After nominations are closed in this thread on December 31,2012, a new thread with 25 choices (max a poll will support), (I will compile), will be posted at the beginning of January for voting through the end of January 2013. You can nominate any Steelbook released in 2012.

Last year's winner, as voted by the HDN community was 'Thor'. 2011 Thread is here.

A running list of Steelbook releases for 2012 is here.

Have fun!
DB

Hey Urbeen, we always take suggestions into consideration for other votes. Since this is only our 2nd year doing any vote (starting with your suggestion last year!), we'll stick with an overall winner this year. As always, stay tuned for more ways to chime on on favorites at HDN!

My vote goes to Terminator (Play.com).

Why? It has all the ingredient to be a complete steelbook...

* Inside artwork
* Embossed/Debossed
* Shiny Bling Bling Effects

Usually, steelbook is either Embossed/Debossed, but no bling bling..and vice versa. However, this one has both....so it's a WINNER :scat:

Drive (HMV Exclusive)
Fight Club (Play.com Exclusive)
Inception (JP)
Jaws (UK but it's the same everywhere I think)
The Thing (FR)

I nominate Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (Play.com - UK)

For some reason, I just love this steebook.

My most favourite steelbook as far as the artwork on the front is concerned is the German Gladiator Universal 100.

In terms of overall presentation, front/back/inside, I like Apollo 13 (I have the Aussie JB) and Iron Man (UK). As far as The Terminator is concerned, the UK artwork doesn't do it for me.
