True, but if you have push mail on a mobile device, you will be notified of this. You can even request David's help i.e. Naughtius Maximus to try and notify you.

Simply create a new mail addy that is exclusive to notifications, when ordered simply unsubscribe! That way you can just activate the one mail address and you dont get spammed throughout the night.

Also, Zavvi are UK based so 10-1, their live hours will be during their usual time frame. They seem to follow a pattern lately.

So you're saying people should not help their friends? You're the one being selfish,mate..

I'm not saying that at all - if you're allowed to order more, I can't expect people not to take advantage of it (I'm a collector, too!). But one per customer for an ultra-uber-super-duper limited edition makes it as fair as we can expect from the supplier. Anything else encourages hoarding and secondary market pricing.

And it also encourages big discussions about Zavvi releases, but they wouldn't have that in mind - now would they? ;)

I might only be new to this but from what I've seen, these Zavvi limited print runs always come back into stock following initial pre-order (due to cancellations). It happened with V for Vendetta, Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, and There Will Be Blood, so surely it will happen with 3:10?

V for Vendetta's not out til June, hasn't happened with that yet...

But yes, you're correct, it always happens

I know it's been said countless times but.. it really would be so much easier if these steelbooks limited to 1000 - 2000 were limited to 1 or 2(max) per customer. They'd still sell out just would take a couple more days, and if not after a week then open the flood gates and let people buy as many as they wanted.

that wouldn't solve the problem at all.. like it was said many times before, scalpers always find ways to order more, i.e. to have multiple accounts and / or ship it to different addresses.

You are correct in saying it wouldn't solve the problem but you're wrong if you think it wouldn't make a difference ! it would make it a lot harder, it's not easy to create 20 different accounts you know with different legible details. Also what do you think is easier, ordering 50 - 100 copies from one account or having to create 50 - 100 accounts? C'mon are you being serious ?

No-one is ordering 50-100 copies from one account, it has been stated multiple times that Zavvi will cancel/reduce orders for more than five copies.

Even if it was limited to 2 per customer, this would have sold out in less than day.

Knock knock - Frozen Kimchi which sold out with few minutes.

Yes it did, but you're not taking into account this took 3 hours and we don't know the quantities in which it was ordered. So my suggestion still stands that more would get a fair chance.

Kimchi stuff is slightly different too, large portions are already secured for GBs, and they offer something different which is why they sell quickly.

Yes it's been stated but it has not been proved has it ? Explain to me how a friend of mine is able to order multiples without orders getting cancelled?

It's not instant. Zavvi will cancel this somewhere down the line before dispatch.

I know what you're saying mate, but I'm honestly telling you they either don't do it for everyone or there is a way around it. I'm not saying this based on pre-order info it's based on received steels.

...Is this the part where you guys gang up and avoid the actual debate and start insinuating that I’m ‘this friend’. Just because the comment ‘a friend’ is clichéd does that always imply that it’s me? Jeese

you have a friend that orders more than 5 copies of a steelbook? maybe then here is the wrong place to address your complaints.

It was a suggestion severo, last time I checked we were aloud suggestions on this forum. You may not agree with me but that is your prerogative.

Yes he has 'a friend' who orders multiples ;)

Honestly I knew it would start but not this soon lol you're clearly incapable of discussing things rationally, so lets drop it.
