It makes a lot of sense from a marketing standpoint. Create a lot of buzz with limited inventory and it's almost guranteed to sell out

Don't get me wrong, I "get it". They want/need the sales and people are more inclined to buy immediately, rather than wait for a price drop, knowing that a title is limited/ more limited/ ultra limited/ microscopically limited/ etc. I'd rather buy a title that was good rather than limited.

But in an ideal world we would have popular movie releases with awesome artwork, superior quality steelbooks at a reasonable price and have enough quantities to stop scalpers taking the p*ss on ebay.

Naïve.???? Me.???? :hilarious:

A lot of collectors like the limited runs though, scarcity is a big part of collecting for many. Personally I think a bit of variety makes things interesting, I would like to see them do even smaller runs. There are loads of films which aren't popular enough to sell even 2000 copies, so 1000 copy or even 500 copy print runs would be great.

Not a fan of the lack of title or the colorless spine. Image used for the front is cool though. I'll be buying it because it's still better than an amaray.

Is this looking likely to not feature a title on the front cover? I know this was mentioned a few pages back. Not sure if I like that idea or not (I don't own any SB's without titles on the front).
I guess there is also time for the art to change.

Probably on my own with this, but I don't like the artwork (so far)

Especially if it's going to be another boring matte finish like say The Lone Ranger....:(
