Films don't have to reflect clothing and hairstyles to remain relevant.

No one dresses in suits except businessmen and lawyers and yet Citizen Kane has aged well. No one wears swords and sandals and yet Spartacus has aged well. We don't have fears about nuclear war like we used to but Dr Syrangelove has aged well.
Most films from the drawing room comedies of the 1930s to the hippy influences on for example the Star Trek TV series have aged terribly (although mini skirts never age) but I still enjoy and appreciate them as snapshots of another more glamorous age and as period pieces.
Thrillers on the other hand never age and anything made by Hitchcock, for example, from BLACKMAIL in 1929 onwards is as entertaining today as it was when it was made.

Considering the relationships between the West and China, Russia and N. Korea I'd say "Speak for yourself" regarding fears about nuclear war.

Yeah, nuclear war could still happen. But the scare for it nowadays is nothing like it used to be.

Very few people are rebuilding nuclear bunkers, running test drills around the country and teaching kids how to duck and cover.

Totally Agree, tho have not heard of dr. Syringelove, any good ? :naughty::whistle::rofl::thumbs:

A couple of people seemed interested previously, so I've posted a small group buy.

Another in-store and curbside pickup not available preorder. Best Buy just aren’t reliable enough for me to keep laying out money shipping only preorders.

If and when steelbooks like this show up in-store/curbside - like on the night before release day or on release day - then maybe I’ll get a copy.

It might be that BB is shifting to online only movie sales (Luca, Vertigo, The Thing, Rear Window, and now Clockwork all shipping only). It’s too much money to lay out on a well less than a 50% chance, in my experience, of not receiving a heavily damaged steelbook.

I can never get through this film in one sitting and I never seem to go back the next day to finish watching the rest. A little dab'll will do 'ya when it comes to this film. Therefore, I certainly won't pay $33.99 + tax for this.
