HMV usually only dispatch pre orders on Thursday or Friday with delivery on Saturday or Monday release date.

Sometimes it’s after release date if they have a delay in getting stock

If no delay you likely will have payment taken tomorrow

Just see a video of the other version, the VHS steelbook and it’s plain boring matte so I’m now not holding my breath for a better finish on this version. I seriously hope they’ve gone all out on it though because I’m proper looking forward to it and that will proper f**king disappoint me. Beetlejuice gave me hope

The VHS one doesn't look half bad to be fair. The design has come out really awesome. Decent art can hide some of those worst qualities of thin matte paint job finishes

That particular art needed a ton of gloss to show the VHS plastic though. Essentially a full gloss steel. Looks awful without it. And tbh I’m expecting the same on this slip. This release can go down the drain very quickly for me if the steel is plain matte and the slip is plain too. That will be hugely disappointing

I'd gone through pre order thinking that the VHS design itself was going to look downright bad. It's nice to be pleasantly surprised for once. My expectations on this variant were low.
Would it look better glossed and spotted? Absolutely F'n yeah. It suits looking a bit grungy and manky if I'm honest. Adds to the charm on this one.

I might pick this up cheap on Amazon Italy depending on how the other set turns out. Save some cash.

Mine just arrived. Haven't opened it, but I'm 99% sure the steel is matte, judging from the spine and side edges visible.

It’s a very underwhelming set and yes the steelbook is matte and not a great one either.

I’m disappointed with it, I was really looking forward to this one.

Opened mine now. I actually quite like it. The slip and folder have a lovely soft touch to them, which is miles ahead of the basic gloss crap wb normally give us. Cards are great too.

Booklet is decent, but its not a hardback as per the mockup. Blu-ray is blue too (my pet peeve), not the freddy art shown. Steel is matte, but it's not particularly streaky. It should have been like the exorcist, with a spot gloss title and undercoat.

These are numbered out of 27,400 btw, not 4,000
