Uncut release over here now confirmed thanks to Irish Film Classification Office (IFCO), they've just rated the uncut version a few days ago. BBFC don't mention the uncut version (99% chance we share the same disc with Ireland though), but have downgraded the rating to 15.

Wow, wasn't expecting it to be downgraded to a 15.

I noticed that each time they've graded the film, there is a difference in the duration. We're only talking seconds, but the newest is 12 seconds longer than the releases in 1985 & 1998.

I hope it is matte. Glossy steelbooks that are mostly black are an absolute eye sore for scratches.
Matte can look better than gloss, I agree wholeheartedly, but that design in dark streaky matte would look god awful.
There's matte done properly and then there's matte that's applied like a 90 year old with an enlarged prostate trying to take a leak.

How the hell it's sold out everywhere except WB, it's not even limited to 2000 units like the other recent collector editions. I can't believe how often I am missing items to preorder even though it's a general release and I am checking forums few hours later.

That confirmation of the OG poster steel art has brought out all the large stock scalper sellers no doubt. Sniffing their way up the crotch of every retailer.
To be fair, it's been in stock for at least 6 weeks since announcement. There's been plenty of time to make a purchase before the art was confirmed.

Just waiting for artwork like most people before purchasing.

This has been available for pre-order since May 6th, 3 months.

I agree. We shouldn't have to wait to make and informed decision on wether to buy or not. It's cheeky that this has now become the defacto norm for a lot of new limited releases.
I just cancel if it turns out that the art isn't good. Shouldn't be that way though.

Like I said, but artwork only got confirmed today.
The UK SteelBook having original poster artwork was known since Tuesday July 30 and Friday August 2nd as in the info was posted in this thread

Pre orders that expected to be high demand always best to order and then decide later if you want to keep or cancel.

Why wait for the artwork to be revealed and risk missing out? If you pre-order, aren't you able to cancel your order whenever you want if you don't like the art? You don't have to pay at the time of ordering do you?

I pre-ordered this May the 6th. I also pre-ordered Twister long before the art was revealed.

Same with Inception and Interstellar.

If you already know that you regularly miss out on ordering before something sells out, then why ever take that chance?

I have ordered from WB shop, it's OK. I was commenting generally that recently lot of steels/limited editions are selling out quickly in UK.
I work alot and have 2 young kids, I get caught out many times whereby I haven't cancelled my preorder then have to do the hassle of returning.
