I recently ordered the dark knight steel book from walmart.com, I live fairly close to a walmart so opted to try store pickup, after waiting almost two weeks it was finally ready to be picked up, after I pickup from store, it has a dent right on the front cover, and I was pissed, I know some steel books will come with a few scratches and the occasional dent but this one just bothered me being shipped poorly to the store. So my only options are to keep it as it was, or take it to returns get a refund then order it again myself online, I returned it and ordered a new copy this time using ship to my home instead. I am just wondering if I should have kept that one because this new copy could be damaged even worse then I would have to go through same bull all over again.

The last steel book I purchased before this one was Evil Dead target exclusive from ebay, I got a great price on it but it was also shipped damaged with a bend on the right inner side of the steel book after removing j-card I noticed a small dent caused by it being slightly bent most likely in shipping. I opted to keep this one since it is harder to find and I wouldn't be able to get another copy for the price I paid most likely. Only option was to return for refund or keep slightly damaged copy.

do many of you collectors have a few steel books that are slightly damaged, more rare titles?

thanks for the input Ricker, makes me feel like I made the right choice they need to take more care with their products and they would sell more in my opinion. What would you suggest for more rare stuff bought from private sellers or out of country vendors?

Keep sending them back until they get it right. Check out the Amazon retailer thread and look at the pictures I posted of the Oldboy steel I received. I filed a claim and they sent me a new copy the next day. This one was in perfect shape too. ;)

I have a couple steels with very minor blemishes that I only noticed upon close inspection but I won't settle for dings, dents and noticeable scratches.

there is also a lot of dark knight steels out there so I think you should be sure to get the one you want and also dent free. ;)

yeah the guy working at walmart had no clue he was trying to get me to keep it, insisting its hard to come by because they had to ship it to the store, I knew better and after the Evil Dead let down I was gonna attempt at getting a dent free copy of one of my favorite movies of all time. I will let you guys know how it all works out.

great community here, hope to hang around for awhile. thanks guys
