Yeah, I had to go scrambling to borrow money to put into my bank account. Glad I saw it otherwise I would have been charged an additional 35.00 from my bank.

Mine was shipped .. big surprise
I wonder if Wreck has any pull in getting Zavvi to send out " change in release date" mails so that those ninjas who are not prepared are prepared for the transaction?

Mine has been shipped too! That´s my first zavvi Steelbook so i hope it looks good and that they know how to pack a Steelbook. A box like Play.com had would be nice!

Can't believe people are whinging that this has dispatched early :hilarious:

some people have lost their orders because of this you know. :emb:mg:
I was luckily mine didnt bounce as there wasnt enough money in my account until today - I guess I'm not the only one reliant on end of the month payday to fund this and other July pre-order - but somehow my ordes gone through to dispatch status, otherwise I'd have every right to whinge as Chavvi didnt even notify us it would be shipped/charged so early. I, like many others, had planned/budgeted for being charged -at the earliest- Tues/Wed next week.

Not everyone pays via credit card you know

if not, and if this is to become a semi-regular practice, then Zavvi should have something in place so orders dont cancel and are placed on hold for a couple of days to allow for alternative/updated payment methods

Very naughty of Zavvi to process payments several days sooner than pre-orders are usually charged :dunno::ugh:

Poor people shouldn't buy Steelbooks they can't afford :p

In all seriousness, I do feel sorry for those who weren't able to cover the cost of this. I hope Zavvi don't make a habit of charging this early. Yes it's nice to receive Steelbooks earlier than expected, but it's not nice to be charged when you haven't planned for it.

Stating in the T&Cs that we will be charged a few days before the film is released is not good enough, we should all get a email the day before dispatch warning us that we will be charged the next day.

Completley understand how people feel about being charged early especially if they pay directly through there bank and have budgeted for this and not a credit card!

I am luckly enough to have a credit card to that i pay for all of my pre orders with though and cant wait for this to arrive, next to Jungle Book this was one of my all time fav Disneys as a kid.

I may be short of the mark but if Zavvi have had a bad June, shipping early could generate the funds to keep there investors happy. I agree with Kashby an e-mail warning of an early payment could at least let members be prepared. They don't mind sending e-mails about mega mondays.

Yeah, an e-mail warning would be an amazing addition. Though they might get a few more cancellations from people like me that often forget they pre-ordered something and want to cancel it :hilarious:

Why will you not be charged earlier via PayPal?

From what I understand payment is taken immediately when ordering with paypal.

Nope - it is paid on dispatch like the normal process.

Wow, I had no idea. Last time I preordered with them through paypal my payment was taken instantly, but that was years ago. Or I could be confusing them with a different store as well...

This helps out a ton, I have funds in my paypal way more often than on the bank account that I use for this.

Does anyone else here suspect that perhaps this early dispatch was intentional? The conspiracy theorist inside of me suspects that Zavvi knew full well that many people would fail to make payment if they dispatched a week earlier, therefore generating themselves a new batch of stock that they could sell via eBay...

It's pretty bad customer relations to charge customers ahead of schedule without first informing them, especially when most assume a fixed release date and budget accordingly!
